The source of the data used by DSM EduServices online web application is Texas public school primary and secondary education data made available by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to the general public. Texas state law requires this data be made available to the public in an industry standard format at school district and campus aggregate levels. TEA strictly adheres to FERPA, the Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. Because of this necessity, some data elements within these aggregates must be "masked". TEA is required to mask these data elements before making the data available to the public respective of this law. TEA posts their masking rules that apply to the aggregate data.
